Digital pinhole photograph on canvas
About This Work
Algorhythmia is a solo exhibition at Polaris Gallery, South Yarra, exploring the relationship between body, motion, and algorithmic processes through digital pinhole photography.
The exhibition features large-scale digital images on canvas and a photographic rug, continuing the artist's long-running series of works that began with Fly Rhythm at Arc One Gallery in 2013. The digital pinhole images capture the spinning body in motion, creating abstract patterns of light that merge the physical and the digital.
With catalogue essays by Ouyang Yu and Anna Shimshak, the exhibition explores how the body's rhythmic movements can be translated into visual form through photographic technology, creating works that exist at the intersection of dance, photography, and digital art.
